It has gone a little further


During the night hours I found some time to continue working on SniffyDogs.

(1) assignment of the control

One of the challenges with SniffyDogs is the fact that the screen is so reduced in size and color, just like the controls.

You only have the directional pad / crank / A / B :-)

How are you supposed to realize smooth navigation over a map?

The assignment of the control options must remain variable and this should be clearly communicated to the player.

Similar to fast travel, it is now possible to trigger an additional action when rolling over to an information marker, for example to set a map pin in the 2nd zoom level...

I have started to design the information legends.

I have started to give a short additional description in the FAQs.

(4) Prospects

I actually still find something small to tinker with before I turn to the brainworm - the simulation loop. :-)

At least I've started writing comments in the empty class on how I could start.

Anyway, I now know that at least 524 scent markers have to be distributed on the map if I want to bring life to the neighborhood...

It remains exciting!
