What did I accomplish in my fit of crafting
(1) The Model
The data model with the many x,y coordinate pairs in an array and parsing operations in the arrays seems to be performant enough.
In any case, there are no hiccups if I initially create a random scenario based on a reboot or reset.
(2) Model Setup - Simulation Start
I initially put together a lot of parameters for the game to start with. But more are constantly being added as I develop the simulation step by step. It will take a while before the simulation loop can start. There are still a few important setups to be done.
(3) UI
Here, too, it's always evolving. The more the simulation and basic model become clearer to me, the more I come up with ways to make it all playable on this small screen. I started developing an event badge system. Feedback is very important to understand the simulation. But also incentive and reward.
I developed a line drawing module to visualize the walks of individual dogs on the map in time matrix and dog book.
In the second zoom level there are now information markers about the surroundings.
Now, unfortunately (fortunately), a few day jobs are coming back into focus. I won't be able to continue working on SniffyDogs as focused as I did last week - but it was a huge step last week! I'll keep you in the loop!
